Introducing Lovell as a new commercial partner
As part of a series of posts on Community Housing Cymru’s new commercial partners, Regional Partnerships Director Gemma Clissett explains why Lovell chose to form a new partnership with our sector.
Why did Lovell want to be a CHC commercial partner?
"Lovell is a true partnership business – it’s in our DNA, from our very first partnership development with Carmarthenshire Council some 42 years ago. It is what we do and we are really passionate about delivering high quality, mixed tenure homes in Wales. We believe by becoming a partner of CHC opens up mutual opportunities for both organisations. CHC is a community, a group of likeminded organisations working together to help deliver all types of much needed housing in Wales.
We have already built excellent relationships with many of the RSL’s and LA’s in Wales and we feel becoming a Corporate Partner of CHC will enable us to strengthen these relationships even further as well as create new ones. We feel the partnership will also help provide a platform to share best practice and upskill knowledge and understanding across both sectors.
At Lovell we care deeply about the communities we build in, and we are looking forward to working with CHC to help seek out opportunities to support and give back to local communities in Wales".
What benefits can Lovell bring to our housing association members and the work that they do?
"As a partnership housing developer, working on various challenging regeneration projects, we feel we have a lot to offer the partnership in terms of knowledge, expertise and resources which could benefit members of CHC when considering challenging housing projects.
Lovell’s recognised expertise and market positions in affordable housing reflect its deep understanding of the built environment developed over many years and its ability to provide solutions for complex regeneration projects.
As a result, its capabilities are aligned with the Welsh Housing Sector and is committed to delivering future regeneration and affordable housing needs in Wales with a focus on net-zero performance and highest standards of placemaking".
