Three BIG facts about our One Big speakers: Sarah Dickins

With our One Big Conference just weeks away we wanted to introduce you to our keynote speaker Sarah Dickins.

Sarah is an award-winning journalist and documentary maker who spent more than two decades honing her skills at the BBC.

Sarah will be discussing the economic outlook: what it means for Wales, the social housing sector and our net zero ambitions, on day one of our conference on July 4th.

Here’s three BIG things to know about Sarah before we welcome her to our conference…

Sarah reported on all things economics

Sarah was the BBC’s economics correspondent for 10 years, working across television, radio and online. She’s looked at a host of industries from coal and steel to technology and consumer economics.

Sarah previously presented Working Lunch on BBC2 with Adran Chiles and Business Breakfast, she’s also presented BBC Wales daily news and current affairs programmes.

Thanks to her documentary work on the Spanish Civil War she received a Celtic Media Award.

She’s swapped news for organic farming

Sarah and her partner own an organic Welsh hill farm where they raise award-winning organic, purely pasture fed lambs and have started a regenerative agriculture project.

Since leaving the BBC Sarah has become a sustainable economics advisor, supporting companies and organisations to reach their net zero targets.
