Let’s Disqus...
As the trade body for housing associations in Wales, one of our key roles is to provide spaces for our members to learn and help each other by sharing information and best practice on key topics. Disqus is one of these spaces.
Disqus is a forum plug-in that we are using to create different discussion boards on the most important topics that members are talking about. It will be embedded into our website, which means that you will not need a separate login to access these boards.
The first of these topic-specific discussion boards is dedicated to the cost of living crisis and sits under our cost of living hub. You can see the board here.
In early 2023, we will be adding more discussion boards to our website on topics that we know matter to you. This will allow members with different roles in organisations across the sector to interact and engage.
To view and comment on the discussion board, you will need to log in to your CHC account. Once you have access, you will be able to read messages from colleagues and post comments and images of your own.
Although you will be able to add links to your comments, it is not possible to upload full documents to Disqus. If there are any resources you feel should be shared with others in the sector, please email memberservices@chcymru.org.uk so they can be disseminated using the appropriate channels.
If you want to use Disqus but do not have an account on the CHC website yet, you can create one at chcymru.org.uk/register.
On Disqus, you can also subscribe to boards to receive email updates when new comments are posted so you don’t have to keep checking back. If you have a question or comment for our team on the forum topic you are commenting on, please tag the member of staff listed at the top of the discussion board and we will aim to get back to you within two working days.
This is your space to talk about best practice, share challenges and ask questions. Although non-members and the general public will not be able to see the boards, we have put together rules of conduct to ensure they are a safe and constructive space. Please read these rules before you start interacting with the board. CHC staff will moderate the forums and remove any comments that breach these rules.
Need something more visual to get to grips with Disqus? Have a look at this quick guide for members.
Ready to have a go? Use the board below to see what it looks like, leave a test comment and play around with the features before you have a look at our other discussion boards.
