CHC's support for HAs during Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak
Further to statements made by the Prime Minister and First Minister yesterday (16/03/2020), as an organisation we are putting arrangements in place to respond to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
We have operated as an agile workforce for some years and our staff are fully equipped to work remotely. In light of the advice yesterday, that staff should work from home wherever possible, we will be closing CHC’s offices from 5pm tomorrow (18th March 2020) and we will be delivering services remotely, including having phones redirected to relevant staff and putting provision for online meetings in place.
Ensuring the wellbeing of our staff and members is our absolute priority, and in this context we will be postponing our events and training courses for the time being.
However, we have a long-term 12-month plan to deliver services, influence the political agenda and tell the sector’s story on issues that matter to Welsh housing associations. Our team will be continuing to work across a number of different areas, particularly those that are deliverable remotely, are a priority or time pressured challenges. We want to ensure we have adequate resources dedicated to supporting new priority areas in light of the evolving situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19).
You can see a list of all the different areas we work across, and the contact details for relevant staff here.
We have created a dedicated Coronavirus page which is updated on a regular basis, which we hope will be a useful source for you.
We know this is a very challenging and unprecedented time, and we hope you are keeping well. If you have any worries, concerns or queries, please contact the relevant person from the staff list above.
