CHC statement: Grenfell Tower Inquiry phase 2 report publication

The Grenfell Tower inquiry has today published its phase 2 report.
In response, Stuart Ropke, chief executive of Community Housing Cymru said:
“Our homes should be the place where we are safest of all. Our thoughts today are with the survivors, and families and friends of the 72 people who lost their lives due to the fire.
“We are grateful to those who participated in this detailed and thorough inquiry. We will now be taking the time to examine the report in full, reflecting carefully on the experiences of the tenants and others who contributed to it.
“Welsh housing associations’ core purpose is to provide safe and affordable homes. Community Housing Cymru and housing association teams will continue to support work taking place in Wales to improve building safety so that everyone is, and feels, safe in their homes."
