New regulations on data sharing and further roll out of universal credit announced

The DWP have confirmed that they will share data with social landlords. New regulations will come into force on the 13th February following the recent consultation responses that CHC, members and other organisations submitted. Landlords have had concerns about being ‘left in the dark’ by DWP policy but CHC has championed the inclusion of social housing as a key partner in the development of Universal Credit and the new regulations http://bit.ly/1z1df4y will allow the DWP to share a claimants:

• Name
• Address
• Payment date
• How much will be paid via the housing element
