Meet the Team - Rhian Robinson
What’s your name?
Rhian Robinson
Where do you work and what do you do?
I am in the Central Services Team and focus on CHC’s Events Programme and Business Development. I am also working as part of the Housing Futures Team and really excited about how we are going to solve the problem that the Welsh Housing Sector has been
Why did you choose a career in housing?
Probably like most others who work in housing, I fell into it!
What is the most important thing you have you learned since starting your career in housing?
That it is not just about building houses but it is also about building communities.
Where would you be working, if not in housing?
I would either be in the police force or rugby coaching
What’s your favourite part of the job?
The relationships I have formed over the past 15 years
What motivates you?
Constantly striving to deliver the best conferences and customer service
How do you relax after work?
Not sure if you call it relaxing, but I am a massive rugby fan, a season ticket holder at the Ospreys (a very stressful season) and also an avid follower of Pontypridd Youth, my sons team.
What’s your greatest achievement?
My son Ben, I am so proud of the young man he has grown up to be and not sure where he gets his brains from.
Your most embarrassing moment?
While waiting to pick up my son from an Ospreys rugby camp, I managed to tip a cup of hot chocolate over my lap, I had been to the gym that day so went to change into my joggers, but decided to do it in the car as it was quiet, or so I thought, mid undress, the full Ospreys squad finished training and started to file pass my car and I am struggling to pull up my jogging bottoms.
What was your last holiday destination and what did you think of it?
New York, an amazing place but what an attack on your senses
