Direct Payment Demonstration Projects: learning and payment figures - May 2014

The Department for Works & Pensions have released the final figures and learning details from the six Direct Demonstration Projects that have taken place across the UK, including the Torfaen project involving Bron Afon Community Housing and Charter Housing.

The projects tested paying Housing Benefit directly to tenants to help make sure that the right support for tenants and landlords is in place before full implementation of Universal Credit.
