Time: 12 noon - 5:30pm
Where: Westminster, London
The biggest housing rally in a generation is set to take place in Westminster on 17 March 2015. Organised by Homes for Britain and supported by Community Housing Cymru and CIH Cymru, the event will bring together 2,500 people in the heart of Westminster to call for 'an end to the housing crisis within a generation'.
We will be taking our message to politicians just before the General Election and will be emphasising that we need to concentrate on more than just supply - we need the right homes, in the right places with the right infrastructure.
We want you to be part of this unique event. This rally will bring together every part of the housing world from private developers to homelessness campaigners, from social housing providers to private landlords and all Party Leaders have been invited to speak at the rally.
In order to ensure that Welsh MPs are involved in the conversations on the day that housing is the key focus in and around Westminster, we have also organised a lunchtime reception for Welsh MPs in the House of Commons. This will be a great opportunity to give a clear picture about the housing and regeneration scene in Wales, the impact of Welfare reform, highlight the wider contribution we make to the economy, focus on the challenges and opportunities on the horizon and, more importantly, the role we need them to play in ensuring that we continue to invest in the local communities we serve.
To bid for your tickets, please send your name, job title and organisation to liam-townsend@chcymru.org.uk
We want a cross-section of organisations in attendance, so please spread the word to your housing and regeneration contacts.
