Spotlight Session | Becoming a Dementia Friendly HA | 22 September 2022
In this spotlight session, Ingrid Patterson, project manager at Marie Curie, talked through how the organisation is helping housing associations become Dementia Friendly as part of Welsh Government’s commitment to building communities where the needs of people affected by dementia are understood and respected, and individuals with a diagnosis of dementia are supported to maintain their independence, interests, and skills as part of everyday life. Ingrid was joined by Gemma Watkins, Director of Housing and Communities at Aelwyd, who provided insight into their own journey towards becoming Dementia Friendly.
