What happens when we start by finding out What’s Strong? Not what’s wrong.

The project began with a simple idea:
Pick a place and start a conversation.
Rather than beginning with a fixed service model or funded intervention, partners started by listening to residents in Trelewis, Penrhys and Blackmill. Each community told a different story, but common themes emerged: pride in place, strong family and neighbour networks, lost community spaces, reduced opportunities to connect, and a desire for more local activity shaped by residents themselves.

The webinar and workshop will explore:
- how tenant engagement can move beyond consultation into relationship-building
- why community assets matter for wellbeing
- how listening differently changes what organisations do
- how housing associations can act as population health partners
- what it takes to support resident-led action
- why methods of working travel better than fixed models
