The Corporate Parenting Charter

The Corporate Parenting Charter is one of the main elements of a programme of work that the Welsh Government is taking forward to transform children’s social services in Wales. Through the charter, all public sector bodies, private sector and the third sector are encouraged to take a shared responsibility and become a 'corporate parent' to children and young people that have been placed into care.

In this session, Alistair Davey, Deputy Director of Social Services Enabling at Welsh Government, will talk through what it means to be a 'corporate parent' and how your housing association can get involved.
