In this session, Christine Bradbury and Emily Thomas from Hugh James Solicitors considered some of the potential pitfalls that an employer faces when it decides to recruit a new employee, from an equality and diversity perspective, and complex gender identities in the workplace. These issues were discussed in the context of what the law says and what should be regarded as best practice.
