The most critical building block to assist any housing association or local authority on ensuring that their housing stock meets the exacting requirements set out in the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) is the data collection on which your objective decisions should and can be made.
Getting it right first time is critical, as insufficient, inconsistent data can undermine most surveys and associated programmes of ongoing works, giving rise to misjudged and misguided spend.
The requirements of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), and the responsibility of the housing association or local authority thereafter in maintaining their housing stock presents numerous challenges, such as surveying issues, the need for clear communication, data capture requirements, and specifically, there are concerns about understanding the legislation requirements to meet the WHQS and the need for communication with the Welsh Government for landlords about WHQS.
The interactive webinar with Gleeds and SCAPE will provide insight and learning drawn from their experience delivering Housing Quality Surveys within Wales and England.
