Homes for health and well-being series: Affordability
People’s homes can have a significant impact on their health and well-being. Public Health Wales is publishing a series of briefings that aims to outline what ‘good’ looks like for healthy homes in Wales, and steps on how to achieve that vision. The purpose and plans for the series are outlined in this summary briefing.
The first theme-specific briefing in the series focuses on the importance of affordable housing for health and well-being. This is particularly relevant in the context of the current cost of living crisis.
The briefing will aim to summarise the links between housing affordability and health and share examples of what ‘good’ looks like to enable progress towards a future where affordable homes help to protect and improve the health and well-being of people in Wales.
In this spotlight session, you will have the opportunity to share your feedback on the evidence presented in the affordable homes briefing and any examples of notable or good practice that could be included.
