Housing associations and social enterprises both aim to provide social value. Our members have close links to the communities they serve and are well placed to develop new opportunities to create more jobs and to develop new and grow existing businesses. A growing number of housing associations are setting up their own social enterprises and many more are buying from and helping to build local ones.
Building Enterprise has been launched by Community Housing Cymru to partner and encourage new business models that will create and anchor wealth in disadvantaged communities. The project supports housing associations who are well placed in communities to use their skills and assets to support new and existing social enterprises. You can find out more about the Building Enterprise project here.
