Following on from interviews held on Monday 2nd June, we are pleased to announce that Nia Griffiths has been appointed as the new Director of CREW Regeneration Wales.

Nia is currently Head of the LEADER Implementation 2014-2020 programme – an EU Rural Development Community Regeneration programme - and will take up the appointment on a secondment basis for 18 months. Terms and start dates are currently being finalised.

Roisin Wilmott, Chair of CREW Board commenting on the appointment, said: 'CREW is at an exciting point in its history and we are very pleased to announce that Nia Griffiths will be joining us as our new Director to take us forward. Nia brings with her a strong regeneration knowledge that will complement the existing CREW team. Nia’s background in funding programmes and her enthusiasm for working with others will also stand us in good stead for delivering a sustainable future for CREW.'

Nia added: 'I am delighted to have been offered this role and look forward to building on all the great work CREW has been doing over recent years. I will be bringing a broad range of experience in sustainable development to the post, including four years’ running the Wales Rural Network and several years supporting grassroots regeneration programmes throughout Wales.'
