Capturing Creativity Award 2018

Eighteen years ago, Community Housing Cymru set up an Award scheme to recognise housing innovation in memory of a special person - Pat Chown. Pat gave a big part of her life to helping others and spent much of her working life helping to meet people's housing needs in Wales.

As a way of remembering Pat, her contribution to housing and her constant search for better ways of doing things, Community Housing Cymru is inviting entries for the Capturing Creativity Award.

The Award’s aim is to recognise innovation:

  • New ways of responding to day-to-day issues
  • Genuinely new ideas about dealing with common problems
  • A much easier way of tackling a long-standing issue

The Award judges will be looking for entries which demonstrate that the project has been ground-breaking.

Only projects established no more than two years ago are eligible for entry.

Here are some of our winners from previous years:

  • Newydd
  • Charter Housing
  • Cardiff YMCA
  • Cyrenians/Caer Las Cymru
  • Bron Afon Community Housing
  • GrEW

The winner, which will be announced at CHC’s One Big Housing Conference in October, receives an award and a £1,000 donation to a Wales-based charity of their choice.

To enter this year's award, please complete and sign the entry form and send it to julia-sorribes@chcymru.org.uk by 9am Friday 7th September 2018.
The entries will be shortlisted down to a final 3 and then we will be back to the sector asking for help in choosing the final winner.
