Finance for Boards is designed to give you the essential finance knowledge to ensure you can competently meet your obligations and assist in making tough decisions.
1. Key components of the accounts focusing on income - how can you tell if they drift from acceptable norms and what independent external data can you use to sense check your association's performance?
2. Inter-relationship of the various accounting statements focusing on assets and liabilities - some jargon busting (i.e. explanation of concepts) and some more independent external data to have in your governance armoury.
3. Governance in respect of the accounts - what are your responsibilities in signing off the accounts, what are the key judgements / variables to consider?
4. Business Plan, Budget and Cash Flow - how these documents can assist your assessment of the accounts that you sign off.
About the trainer:
