WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND:
Hoarding behaviours and cluttered environments pose high levels of risk to occupants, family members, neighbours, statutory and community services.   Cases of hoarding can be complex and are not always easily resolved; therefore holistic interventions, responses and multi-agency working are key to effective resolutions.  This practical programme provides the tools and knowledge needed in offering effective support to your tenants with clutter and hoarding issues.

TARGET GROUP:
Anyone who provides a supporting service in their community and is therefore, likely to be challenged in the future with a tenant whose habit, is to hoard or clutter.

COURSE AIMS:
• To provide understanding of the related issues around hoarding and cluttering
• To provide understanding of the effects on properties and services
• To equip individuals with Intervention skills, making both practical and economic sense
• To include motivation and self-help tools to prepare the tenant emotionally for de-cluttering
• To equip individuals with the tools and information needed in providing effective future support to change hoarding and cluttering behaviours
• To provide alternative measures for combating a property in need of de-cluttering
