Your membership provides you with the opportunity to connect with people who can help your business compete and prosper – be that internally within the sector or with other organisations within Wales and the UK.

We’ll be providing opportunities to connect in a number of ways in 2017/18:

CHC Connect:
Face to Face

We will introduce a refreshed approach to CHC’s networks in 2017/18. This approach will actively support CHC’s lobbying and advocacy work on issues identified by the membership through CHC’s Corporate Plan and help support a strong and resilient sector.

In 2016/17, we trialled a number of networking events for Chairs and Vice Chairs and also a pre-conference dinner for Chief Executives before our Annual Conference. We will be building on this offer in 2017/18 to provide greater opportunities to connect leaders in our sector.

We will also be holding a number of regional networking events.

We will provide networking opportunities through our partnership with the National Homeowners Group.

Externally, we will be collaborating on your behalf with member bodies in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to shape and influence non-devolved issues such as Welfare Reform and Brexit.

We will be enhancing our online offer to connect members in 2017/18. This includes building on the closed Yammer network for members, which already connects nearly 1,000 housing professionals in the sector to share information and best practice.

For more information, please contact Beth.

We have also set up a new Yammer network specifically for boards where Chairs, Vice Chairs and board members can provide peer to peer support.

For more information, please contact Claire.

We will also be investing in webinar facilities in 2017/18. The webinars will be use to connect, support and inform on key topics and to help share best practice from inside and outside the sector.

Get Involved

In 2017/18, we will be providing you with the opportunity to add your voice to our national campaigns (including setting the vision for housing in 2036 as part of Housing Horizons), as well as the opportunity to work with us to co-develop policy positions on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Building on their success last year, these opportunities will take the form of task and finish groups, workshops and policy roundtables.

Keep an eye out for these opportunities through our regular communication channels.
