Your Benefits Are Changing - "Win £2,000 in shopping vouchers" Prize Draw
The Promoter is Bacs Payment Schemes Limited, a company incorporated in England (registered number 4961302) whose registered office is at 2 Thomas More Square, London, E1W 1YN.
- If you start to pay rent to a Participating Housing Association by Direct Debit between the Participation Date and 1 December 2014 (except if you are Ineligible), you will be automatically entered into this prize draw. If you are already paying rent to your Participating Housing Association by Direct Debit on the Participation Date, your Participating Housing Association may, at its discretion, enter you into this prize draw. There are no other routes of entry.
“Participating Housing Associations” are housing associations in Wales affiliated with Community Housing Cymru Group which have agreed to participate in this promotion.
“Participation Date” means the date on which your Participating Housing Association joins this promotion.
The following people are “Ineligible”:
a) Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its associated companies, its agents or contractors;
b) anyone professionally connected with the promotion; and
c) anyone under 17 years of age.
If you do not wish to participate in the Prize Draw, please opt out by notifying your Participating Housing Association.
If you do participate in the prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The prize consists of £2,000 in shopping vouchers (Love2Shop), which will be sent onto the winner via recorded delivery. There are no other prize alternatives available in whole or in part.
All entrants will be randomly allocated a prize draw number by the Participating Housing Associations, and these numbers will be supplied to the Promoter. The Promoter will combine the numbers provided to create a single numeric prize draw database. The winning number will be independently selected at random from this database on 05 December 2014 ("Draw Date").
The Promoter will notify the winning number to the Participating Housing Association which supplied it.
The winner will be notified by their Participating Housing Association by post and / or phone and / or email within 14 days of the Draw Date. The winner will have 30 days from notification of the prize to communicate their acceptance. Should there be a need to move to an alternate winner - selected as outlined at clause 9 below - the alternate winner will have 30 days from notification of the prize by their Participating Housing Association to communicate their acceptance.
The prize winner will be awarded their prize within 30 days of the date of acceptance provided they can present suitable photographic evidence of their identity and age (e.g. valid passport or identity card) to their Participating Housing Association.
In addition to the winner, four further reserve numbers will be drawn and recorded. The Promoter may withdraw prize entitlement and to award the prize to the first reserve number if:
a) If it is subsequently found that the winner is Ineligible or in breach of these terms and conditions
b) The winner cannot be contacted within 30 days of the Draw Date; or
c) The winner does not communicate acceptance of the prize within 30 days of being contacted by their Participating Housing Association.
This re-selection process will be repeated until a winner is identified.
Subject to the following paragraph, the Community Housing Cymru Group and Participating Housing Associations will ensure that any personal data of rent payers remain confidential and will be governed and subject to any applicable data protection law requirements.
The prize winner’s Participating Housing Association will request that the Promoter be provided with the name and county of the prize winner in order that these can be made available to the public. If the prize winner consents to this, their name and county will be available in writing from the Promoter for 3 months after the prize draw by writing to the Promoter address above or by emailing email@example.com. The prize winner may be asked to undertake publicity with the Promoter about the prize.
The decision of the Promoter in respect of any and all aspects of the promotion will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter about any aspect of this promotion.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability to any person or organisation for any loss, damage, cost, expense suffered at all in respect of this promotion irrespective of howsoever caused (whether directly or indirectly) aside from those losses which cannot be excluded by the Promoter by law including death and personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence. The Promoter will not be responsible to any prize winner for any financial implications that might arise as a result of the prize award nor will the Promoter provide any advice on any matter related to the prize award or the personal circumstances of the prize winner.
