Where are we now?

The way that funds are now allocated to schemes providing supported housing services has now been restructured to be a regional working model. This has seen the introduction of new governance, monitoring and evaluation structures.

The new arrangements are based upon a collaborative approach to planning and providing services. To successfully deliver services on this basis six Regional Collaborative Committees (RCCs) have been established across Wales. The Supporting People National Advisory Board steers the work of the RCCs at a national level, this board is chaired by the Minister for Housing & Regeneration.

The Programme is currently in its transition year and is underpinned by the Supporting People Programme Grant Guidance (Wales). The document details the arrangements relating to a number of key areas, including procurement, commissioning and evaluation.

The full Guidance is available here. A briefing paper summarising the guidance, produced by Community Housing Cymru and Cymorth Cymru is available here.
