For many organisations, tendering and procurement can be a formidable task, particularly if they are new to it. With so many issues and documents to take into consideration the process can seem overwhelming.
The Housing Horizons Data Resource, recently published by Community Housing Cymru, provides an important insight into the ways in which changing demographics, as well as social and economic factors, will impact upon housing supply and services in Wales by 2036.
Demonstrating and delivering “value for money” (VFM) are important and significant challenges for the housing association sector in Wales. Taking a robust approach to VFM provides an opportunity not only to show how money is spent and resources used but also to demonstrate the impact of investment whilst offering the potential for associations to achieve more and better outcomes.

It’s easy to talk about what we’d like to do in the future. It’s much harder to work out if those aspirations will be the right things, or even feasible things, to do. CHC is up for the challenge though, and Housing Horizons is an exciting opportunity for housing associations in Wales to look to the future in a creative and informed way.
